do you see the media touting Jonathan Brooks as the best RB in the country, hell he cant even get recognition as the best in the conference

All this talk about CFP rankings seems over played. We lost to ou and had some not too impressive near loses.

Personally I'm much more worried about us losing another game this season, that we shouldn't lose.

If Texas takes care of business, hopefully in a convincing way, then we will be sitting at 12-1 with a very respectable schedule. Most years that gets you into the playoffs, if it doesn't this year, oh well , win the bowl game and end the season at 13-1, and I'd be plenty happy.

If we don't make the CFP, do you think Ewers and Worthy and other NFL prospects play in a bowl game? Can we win a bowl game with Maalik as QB? If we play a decent team, we won't.

Not sure why this would be a bigger issue for us vs other top teams.

Yes and I think Arch will play a half, whether its the first half as QB1 or the second half as QB1.5

I don't know that most bowl games aren't just as insignificant as they have always been.

No way.

Non-playoff bowl games have become the equivalent of preseason high-school scrimmages against another school. They are fun to watch prospects for the next year.

Houston was undefeated and #3 before the game. UH finished the season with one loss (to Texas) but finished the season #10
Texas had one regular season loss to Colorado who ended up #1 & NC but Texas lost to #3 Miami in a bad way

I understand financially it may be sound but do you think QE is NFL ready....I dont, from a physical standpoint not even close, from a skills standpoint he still needs work on his footwork and he doesnt throw a great deep ball, he will get drafted but he better be prepared to sit behind someone and he better hope he gets a good QB coach and like minded OC

That’s exactly his intent. The rookie contract isn’t the big money. The second will be where he makes it.
