If we were able to make the CFP, it would almost certainly be as the 4th seed which means we'd have to play the #1 seed in the first round. Yeah, we're a good team, but not sure we're ready to win a game like that just yet.
I for one would absolutely love to be in that game. There would be several weeks in between Big 12 championship game to scheme the game and get as healthy as we can. Would be great measuring stick to see exactly where we are. Make no mistake we have some very high level players here on the 40 acres. I think we can definitely play in that game.

At the end of the day, it comes down to player skill and execution. How many missed blocks resulted in plays getting blown up? A lot. Or defensive players being out of position or missing a tackle? A lot.

Looks like we're going to be alone at the top in the conference. OSU is going down, 45-3.

That gives OSU two conference losses. Don't think they'll get to the championship with two losses.
It will be ousux, Okie lite or K State assuming we win out.

Wouldn’t be surprised if okie lite gets beat again but if not they have wins over both KSU and OU so we would have to play gundy. Who has had UT number the last decade. I’d love to see what Gordon could do against this Texas front though.

Didn’t realize brooks was redshirt sophomore and draft eligible

Second game where a star player is injured because you can't/won't put teams away.

Sark has said "lesson learned" more than once already, but hopefully this one hits home.

Devastating news. This sucks for that young man who was killing it this season. He was going to be the first or second RB taken off the board in the NFL draft. Does this means he comes back? Most likely.

We have a lot of talent right behind him that should hopefully step up. Sark has to open up the playbook with Blue and Keilan which will be interesting to see.

I saw that comment he made about "lesson learned" and thought the same thing

Really sucks for Brooks. I tell you one thing, Sark and staff have always talked about teams facing and overcoming adversity. Well, this week is all about adversity. Playing a night game on the road, in a place that hasn't been very good to you, against a defense that gave your QB fits last time, playing without your top offensive weapon, CCG on the line, and CFP possibility on the line. Doesn't get any tougher than that. Let's see what this team is made of

I think this team can handle adversity OK, but has problems with red zones and leads.

"won't put teams away"? As in Sark doesn't want to? Come on man, I expect stuff like this from some but you're better than this.

No, as in he won't do it because he fears the things that actually end up happening when you go conservative with a lead: injuries, turnovers, loss of momentum, loss of focus from your players, big plays from your opponents, losing leads, etc.

That's the irony of it all.

What coach doesn't want to win every game in a blowout?

That's an odd interpretation.

Odd wording translates to odd interpretations. Besides, have you seen some of the comments on this board? 🤣
