We are currently ranked one spot below Oregon, who has an identical record that Texas has.

The difference is the resume. Oregon has only one win over a team with a .500 record or above.

We have a win over several ranked teams.

I don't get it.

Supposedly, the committee looks at injuries. If we come out and handle our business, they may look at us favorably. We're the only team in that top 7 that has had to play with a backup QB.

I do agree with you that it's hard to figure what the committee is really using as a measuring stick. It's definitely not apples to apples.

Most scouts have 6+ QBs in their top 50 or 100 lists which mean day 1-2 picks and guaranteed contracts. Coming out a year early also gets you to Free agency a year sooner where the most money will be made. If you are projected to be picked in the first 3 rounds of the draft it usually makes the most sense to turn pro from a financial prospective.
I understand financially it may be sound but do you think QE is NFL ready....I dont, from a physical standpoint not even close, from a skills standpoint he still needs work on his footwork and he doesnt throw a great deep ball, he will get drafted but he better be prepared to sit behind someone and he better hope he gets a good QB coach and like minded OC

Oregon has always been a media darling its the Phil Knight influence, and they have made Bo Nix this year's Max Duggan

do you see the media touting Jonathan Brooks as the best RB in the country, hell he cant even get recognition as the best in the conference

Im starting to think the OU loss is going to hurt us, we need some people to fall soon and we need to win out

KSU is a running football team. It's what they do first and foremost. We absolutely took that away from them and stuck them with their lowest numbers of the whole season.

We had injuries in the secondary, not at full force, and are playing a flawed scheme (10 yd cushion on all downs).

I don't know what it takes to get your respect, but they have mine.
Ford said the team is not respectedenough or some thing simlar. Nothing to do with my respect.

And the team defence was not elite in two games.

And one game was extremly lucky to win.

Does elite defenceshave flawed schemes? Texas front line defence is as good as any one in football LBS is close Secondary coaches or players needhelp .

All this talk about CFP rankings seems over played. We lost to ou and had some not too impressive near loses.

Personally I'm much more worried about us losing another game this season, that we shouldn't lose.

If Texas takes care of business, hopefully in a convincing way, then we will be sitting at 12-1 with a very respectable schedule. Most years that gets you into the playoffs, if it doesn't this year, oh well , win the bowl game and end the season at 13-1, and I'd be plenty happy.

Best RB in conference? Few might say Baxter.A lot more would say Brooks. Okies would say Gordon.

What criteria is used to decide?

Ollie Gordon is a damn stud. But give Brooks the Rock 30+ times and numbers will be similar. They riding him into the dirt
