Does he start? I think you mentioned one of the Coleman's perhaps taking the LG spot??

I think Coleman will give him a heckuva battle. Friend of mine who has seen a practice or two says Coleman looks and plays like he has emerged.

Not so fast my friend.

Sorry if I'm a little skeptical, but getting linemen from some non P4 schools doesn't really instill a lot of confidence in me. Sure, they could have developed in their 3-4 years of playing and become a P4 starter but I'm not convinced until I see it. That's a big step up in competition from WKU to SEC DL.

Same with the running backs. They'll be as good as the Oline makes them.

Sorry, but I've been around too long to believe the Spring hype. After all, Manning was supposed to win the Heisman last year at this time.

OL has always been the hardest spot to access coming out of high school. That’s why you see so many NFL OL that came out of small schools.

Now, the ones that were missed will develop at a small school, and then be picked up by a P4. It’s a new intermediate step but will probably be here to last. It’s a new minor league system. Not sure what other positions this is relevant for - maybe QB’s to some extent

No apology needed. I understand your point. People have their own opinions about this team. To be fair though, it was the national media who pumped Manning up. Texas media was much more reserved about it.

But we all knew Manning winning Heisman was unreal. Payton or Eli didn't . Archie's probably was closest.

I'm just learning this. I think Texas will be good... maybe have a shot at winning it all. But, man On Texas Football (for example) is really doing what they do this Spring.

Nothing against them... if you want to be fed sunshine, it's entertaining. But I'm finally not moved by the Spring hype like I once was.

Kaliq Lockett will miss the rest of spring ball. He had surgery late last week. Freshman Kaden Scherer is also out the rest of spring.

Ryan Wingo, Ty’Anthony Smith, Justus Terry, Trevor Goosby, and Xavier Filsaime should return this week.

Bo Masco had another INT today. He's had a great spring so far.

RB Cooper is also progressing well.

Seymore was at Miami prior to Western Kentucky.

I'll do what I can to drink your share of the kool aid lol

It's particularly good this year. :)

I believe we have every chance to be better than last year in all offensive categories. The main question mark for me is the O-Line.

I'm a little concerned with linebacker because of what we've lost. But then I like an aggressive D that Muschamp will bring over Coach K's bend but don't break D.

I agree that a lot of schools will become more of a "minor league" system. Unless it's a small P4 team, I'm just worried about the level of competition.

Small school is still better competition than high school, so probably makes it a little easier to evaluate. I agree it’s still a crapshoot until they prove it on the field at the P4 level
