It is “a lot”, not “alot”. Thank you.
Stepping off of soap box…..
Alot of what?I got an F on my English paper in 9th grade because I used "alot".
.....so you are saying you liked Big 12 officiating?......They way they answered this gives me hope this discussions dies soon.
We’re going to evaluate it in context. Is it taunting an opponent? Is it making a travesty of the game? A travesty of the game is something that offends us, right? Kick it out of the football stadium, go put in a shopping mall or out in a parking lot somewhere. Well, does it offend someone? Then it’s probably making a travesty of the game.”
He’d continue…
“If a player is just doing it to celebrate with his teammates, maybe going back up the sideline after a touchdown or interception, I don’t necessarily have that as a travesty. I don’t have that directed at his opponent. So it’s contextual.”
The Big12 always seemed to answer this in a way that was less clear and made a point to continue to discuss the horns down as it's own entity while this SEC ref made a point to group it in with a group of other common hand sign celebrations. The big12 was saying the same thing but just in a way that made it more of a headline, again and again.
