Yes, I did see it, have to agree with SHA but i agree with part of your point because it aligns with why PJ Fleck should be in the conversation. I watch for teams that are outperforming their "class" (for lack of a better term), I watched the mich st games sometimes and even though he didn't win some of his games early on, he was giving other teams fits that had way more talent then he did. These are indications that he can coach and get more out of kids then others, i.e. Matt Rhule @Baylor, Mack Brown did it last year in North Carolina (almost knocked off Clemson) and PJ Fleck seems to be doing it at Minnesota (although I haven't watched but one of his games so I really cant speak to him). I really thought Franklin would be in the playoffs by now but Ohio St. keeps knocking him off, kind of makes me wonder, if he were to come here, would he ever get us over the hump with OU?
Speaking along these same lines, its why I've been keeping my eye on the Kansas St. head coach, the guy can coach, hes at another school that really has to do a great job evaluating talent and coaching in order to compete, just like Snyder did. time will tell with him and I hope hes successful, we really need a strong big XII in my opinion to keep more of these kids from going to the SEC. The exodus has accelerated with a down OU and Texas still struggling and now Matt Rhule is gone, Texas Tech is going through another coach, its a bad cycle right now. Its eerily similar to the final years of the southwest conference.
