Texas played well in the first half and came on late to preserve the win. At one point, we were up by 23.

After going up 23, we gave up a 23-3 run that cut the lead to 3 points. Both teams scored pretty consistently after that but Texas was able to maintain the lead throughout. It got down to 2 points late but Tre Johnson made a few clutch baskets for the win.

Looked great for most of the game, but we were way too sloppy with the ball at times, the offense went cold, and we gave up a huge lead. Unfortunately, the way the game played out was predictable to a fault. Thank God for Jordan Pope.

Pope was the only offense we had there for about 8-9 mins.

Of the 34 points Texas scored in the 2nd half, 19 were scored by Pope.

Even though its a win this is another nail in RT's coffin. With that lead the second half that occurred shouldn't have happened.

I have been taking a deep look into coaches and came up with an out of left field candidate. Jerrod Calhoun. Played for Rollie Masimino and learned to coach under Bob Huggins. Career record is 242-144 at Fairmont State, Youngstown State and Utah State.

Well that was disappointing. Should men's BB make a coach change mid year or stick it out? Or is it the Tallent? Im not a basketball guy so seeking opinions here.

I don't see any upside for us to fire him that early. The coaches we would want are still coaching basketball. So it's not like we can replace him very quickly.

Agreed. He’s earned enough respect to at least wait until the end of the year. If I were a prospective new coach, I wouldn’t want to play for aN AD who fired his coaches mid season while on the bubble and no off the court issues.

Unfortunately, I believe a Sweet 16 run to be highly unlikely.

And that game was in New Jersey, which is almost a home game for Maryland. I watched some of that game, Texas was on fire!
