IMO RT is not the answer. Furthermore I think CDC would have made another choice if ESPN/Dick Vitale hadn't forced his hand. Vitale's pro Rodney Terry tirade on national TV influenced this decision in my opinion.Down by 20 at one point, made it a close game near the end. Games don't get any easier coming up. Need to steal a win or two.
Absolutely! It was a no win situation for CDC. I think enough time has passed for RT to prove himself, and CDC has always shown he does not accept mediocre.IMO RT is not the answer. Neither of us know this answer for sure but I don't think it was Dick Vitale who forced his hand. I tend to think it was the successful March Madness run that forced CDCs hand in keeping RT. Really hard to speak of expecting and rewarding successful coaches, and then canning the coach with the most successful bball run in 15 years.IMO RT is not the answer. Meanwhile, Ole Miss is 12-2 and ranked.Neither of us know this answer for sure but I don't think it was Dick Vitale who forced his hand. Lots of caveats apply of course, he was coaching Beard's team, etc.
I do think he has had a chance to replicate that success on his own and it doesn't appear he can. I expect little patience from CDC with this move.
Jay Wright.5-13 in conference is staring us right in our face. Just curious what coach is out there for us to get!
And maybe Billy Donovan if he’s tired of mediocrity in the NBA.Jay Wright.
I'll take RT over Chris Beard any day.Meanwhile, Ole Miss is 12-2 and ranked.
I wonder if this is the majority of Texas fans.I'll take RT over Chris Beard any day.
I would sure hope so. Beard was putting a good product on the field, energized the fan base, etc. I want a coach who can do those things.I wonder if this is the majority of Texas fans.

I do not want a coach who is getting arrested for domestic abuse.
I’ve gotten in spats with my wife and didn’t bite her. That was a bit more than a spat. And I still believe it was time to move on from Beard after that. I want to be proud of my team. It’s about more than just wins to me. It’s what you stand for.So we like our basketball coach because he doesn't get into spats with his wife?
I think I'd rather be 12-2 and ranked than where we're at now. I don't see us making the dance. But hey, RT's wife is just fine. lol
RT has a lot of talent on board. So it's not the players. We will not meet expectations, again.
Nope.I'll take RT over Chris Beard any day.
It takes two to tango. More abuse cases are instigated by the woman than you would think.I would sure hope so. Beard was putting a good product on the field, energized the fan base, etc. I want a coach who can do those things.
