Ass whippin' going on at ESPN2.
Down by 20 at one point, made it a close game near the end. Against the number 1 team not a bad final result but moral victories don't really help.

Games don't get any easier coming up. Need to steal a win or two.

IMO RT is not the answer. Furthermore I think CDC would have made another choice if ESPN/Dick Vitale hadn't forced his hand. Vitale's pro Rodney Terry tirade on national TV influenced this decision in my opinion.

Absolutely! It was a no win situation for CDC. I think enough time has passed for RT to prove himself, and CDC has always shown he does not accept mediocre.

That was incredibly frustrating game to be at last night. Who knew you could put up 82 points and only have 6 assists total. Smh. That's a damning stat.

Weaver's injury early in the game was a killer for us. We really needed his effort and hustle last night. Kaluma played his heart out and got very little help from his teammates. Unfortunately, Johnson has clearly hit the freshman wall in conference play.

5-13 in conference is staring us right in our face. Just curious what coach is out there for us to get!

Neither of us know this answer for sure but I don't think it was Dick Vitale who forced his hand. I tend to think it was the successful March Madness run that forced CDCs hand in keeping RT. Really hard to speak of expecting and rewarding successful coaches, and then canning the coach with the most successful bball run in 15 years.

Lots of caveats apply of course, he was coaching Beard's team, etc.

I do think he has had a chance to replicate that success on his own and it doesn't appear he can. I expect little patience from CDC with this move.

Meanwhile, Ole Miss is 12-2 and ranked.

It is for me. I am not a win at any cost guy. There are standards that men need to have, if he doesn’t want to meet them, then he is not the guy.
Beard is not the guy.

I would sure hope so. Beard was putting a good product on the field, energized the fan base, etc. I want a coach who can do those things.

I do not want a coach who is getting arrested for domestic abuse.

So we like our basketball coach because he doesn't get into spats with his wife?

I think I'd rather be 12-2 and ranked than where we're at now. I don't see us making the dance. But hey, RT's wife is just fine. lol

RT has a lot of talent on board. So it's not the players. We will not meet expectations, again.

I’ve gotten in spats with my wife and didn’t bite her. That was a bit more than a spat. And I still believe it was time to move on from Beard after that. I want to be proud of my team. It’s about more than just wins to me. It’s what you stand for.

That being said I think it’s almost time for a new coach. Unless the team makes a turn and has a run in the Madness.

It takes two to tango. More abuse cases are instigated by the woman than you would think.
