Per IT, Shemar Turner of DeSoto is being recruited exclusively at DE by Texas. He was able to hang out with some of UT's defensive linemen this weekend during his trip to Austin.

DT Albert Regis of La Porte is their inside target.

247 added that Texas would be the likely destination for DT Ike Iwunnah of Garland Lakeview Centennial if Texas can make the numbers work.

SK has posted that he doesn't agree with the other mod's post. Says his sources tell him its OU and Texas. He rechecked today and it was still OU and Texas.

I really hope you're right.

Honestly, here is what i think transpired.  I think LJ and Camar are following each others movements closely.  Maybe LJ saw the buzz with Camar and UT after the Fournette meeting and decided to pull the trigger and keep it quiet.  Meanwhile, Camar found out about LJ committing and went to the Sooner climax jerk (summit) and pulled the trigger to OU.  That's what im sticking with until someone else proves that theory wrong.

IT was able to confirm Leyrer will be in Austin on Saturday.

LB Terrence Cooks of Pearland Shadow Creek was offered by LSU this evening.

He's been a Texas lean for a long time, so we'll see if this moves the needle for him at all at this stage in the cycle.

IT today released their predicted finish to this class.

They listed 8 players RB LJ Johnson, WR JoJo Earle or JJ Henry

Jack Leyrer plus 1 more OL, DL Shemar Turner, LB Terrance Cooks, DB Andrew Mukuba.

They listed Landon Jackson and David Abiara as possible late flips.

So they expect 8 more at a minimum with apparently room for at least one more beyond that. And that's before you talk about GTs.

If you belive Texas will sign 8+1 more in addition to 17 already commited, I have some ocean front property in back of the house for sale.

Why do some of you have such a negative view of pay sites?   Such a weird response. I can tell one thing about IT they do not tell people what they want to hear. They are all straight shooters. I am as critical as anyone and they have always been that way.... Plus I know all of them personally they are all good dudes and really have nothing to gain by misleading their customers.

No negative view was  paying member of IT for 8-9 years run  by Robert Heard then.

To me thier take on signing 8-9 more recruits is orange koolade and over the decade there has been to much of this.

Mainly the post was a dig at SHA. from a earlier exchange.
