Update on the #Bruuuuumors

This is so crazy. I know this situation doesn’t fit in the basic rules box but the NCAA information says you can still be recruited (talk to schools) until you sign the NLI. I’m sure him being enrolled changes that but if he signed FA papers it can’t include athletic scholarship money without a signed NLI from what I’ve read.

Whats happening to make Bru re-think his destination?

Chaos. USC is eating their own right now.

Starts and ends with AD Lynn Swann, who is caught up in the big on-campus drama now that swirls around two drill/cheer teams who essentially share very similar roles. So everyone who was not offended by Swann keeping Helton is now properly offended.

SO the talk around USC circles right now, if you've been paying attention, is whether or not Lynn Swann gets canned. And the thought with that is, can Helton along with him. So USC could be without an AD and HC in the near future.

The Kingsbury episode was a hope-killer for many of them. Apparently his replacement is someone who runs a wing-T offense. So open revolt is at hand in Trojan land. And I think Bru has paid attention to this and the chaos that is the whole USC family right now.

From my understanding, Helton yesterday asked Bru to sleep on it before making a final decision. No word on when that decision comes down but from what I've heard, the decision was made and now its just a matter of whether Bru sticks with his plan.

Thats what I know in a nutshell.
