I know that none of this info. is official yet, but I appreciate Hornsports & our fellow members relaying what is going on. I for one have no info. until something is officially announced & that is frustrating. Keep up the good work and although many times the actual event may no pan out as first thought, us uninformed will at least be able to appreciate the effort taken to bring things to fruition.

Nope Gilmer will not skip a beat at all...they probably from what ive been gathering this morning probably either Metzel or Turner will probably take over as HC/AD for Gilmer from what i have been told about it..probably either one of those two..If im a betting woman I would say Metzel..

yeah i was just told just now Turner doesnt want it..It will be Metzel..I was looking at how many return starters will be back..not too bad at all..other than losing K.Boyd. Carter, Lynch,Fluellen, Tate,Dane Jesters the center I believe,N.Smith,and a couple of others I cant name off bat right now

Saw that and other stuff last night and thought, man these local outlets are gonna look like fools if Traylor changes his mind.

see this is what drives me to drink right here...these outlets shouldve just waited until Traylor speaks before they ran the story...thats what gets my goat big time with that...and thats why i love so much about Hornsports is that out of respect for Traylor they are waiting until Traylor speaks with the ISD,coaches,team and other people before he goes to the media about it..

You can thank they Gilmer superintendent for that. I believe he was the first one that talked to "local" media.

As has been the case lately, the media has jumped the gun again. That's why I asked if his hiring has been announced yet.

oh yes doc you got that right..and im betting any money someone in gilmer must have talked to the media such as the suprintendant; which will not surprise me one bit or somebody there within the outfit of the school board mentionning it..i even read it in the gilmer mirror as well..and im like what the hell are they doing??? if anything and this is just my guess Strong wouldve announced it before Gilmer .IMO...thats just my hypothetical guess out of it...even my relatives down in Gilmer has been keeping close watch on this ...other than that i havent heard of any tale of it yet

I can't find some twitter images I thought I saw hours ago... this thread or another on HS... but to say if there is a press conference tomorrow (9am) by Coach Strong, I do not think it is to announce that there is no news. Only if one or both of the positions are filled.
I think given the lack of news otherwise, Traylor has been offered and has accepted. Possibly Brick also.
Used to be, breaking news by the locals (OB, others) was to say things have happened.
Lately that has been closed off. So the only thing those sources drum up (when they can) is to say things are not happening.
My news model now is that no news is positive news in terms of a commit, or a hire.
I'll go 90% both hires are announced tomorrow. However I have not been able to keep up that much lately.
I can say that twitter is silent as can be from such sources.
