There are some people in East Texas telling us it's a done deal, but nothing from UT, Traylor or Gilmer yet.

i believe what may happen if it was a done deal he may inform the Gilmer ISD ..family and friends and of course probably the team..before he takes it to the social media..that could be the case at this point..just guessing at this point

Good hire, Traylor he is well respected and his kids seem to really like him. He is also an offensive guy which is one advantage over a guy like Joey. He will open some doors for Strong and UT for sure.

So is he an Xs and Os type coach on the college level as well or is this more of a move to bolster recruiting in that area of Texas. I just don't know a whole lot about him but if Strong likes him for the job I trust his decision.

Like a couple of recruiting stories, we are waiting out of respect for Coach Jeff Traylor to report on this.  It appears things are set for Traylor to take the position but nothing is finalized yet.
