HaHa. That was my first thought as well. I heard he's a good recruiter with a potty mouth. Definitely not a Mack type hire.Orgeron would definitely signal a new era. Not a Mack Brown kind of guy.

Texas is not interviewing Ed O for head coach lol. This was mentioned to be for a staff position, and the only way you have the guy in for something like this would be if your head man is known. He's interviewing for the HC position, if he is interviewing at all.
Explain please. And no "He was part of the Pete Carroll mess" allegations.I would hate that hire. He is dirty.
http://www.utsports.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/orgeron_ed00.html"..... he's best recruiter anywhere, anywhere in the country, any conference. If you look at the SEC right now, one of the most talented teams in the SEC is Ole Miss. Ed Orgeron, as everyone knows here, put that team together and you see what's happening with that team right now."
Who would be interested in Eddy as DC? Saban? I was hoping that this would lead us to a clue, but I think a lot of people would want Eddy. That means that some future coach is having us vet his staffing candidates. Lining the them up so to speak. So they can hit the ground running when the new coach comes on.
SUFFICIENCY!
^^That made me laugh out loud-- thank you for that!Ed Orgeron would be a fabulous hire here for any spot but head coach. The guy could recruit a fat kid to live off tofu. He's that damn good.
