The Daniel Figurelli Interview (Warning: NSFW language)

Some people just need to stay off the interwebs and this guy is one of them.

Don't expect any news out of this for a few days. I think ol' Dan is playing the "lay low" card and hoping that this will blow over.

He might get his wish with all this new Baylor news.
I'm not seeing any new news today or are you talking about what has been happening the last couple of weeks?

Apparently, Shawn Oakman had a domestic violence complaint against him (no charges filed per victim's request I think) back in 2013 that Baylor football knew about and didn't do anything about

I checked ESPN and some other national sites with no luck so thanks for that info.

What, exactly, should BU have done if no charges were filed?

That's a good question, but the narrative being spun is now that he's been arrested for a subsequent violent crime, could Baylor have done something to prevent this by doing something back then?

There was no question he did not hit the women involved. The police have photos of her face. She declined to pursue charges which is within her right. However why would Briles allow a player to remain on the team which he knew had punched and assaulted a female? BU should have kicked him off the team and out of the university.

Back to Danny boy, on Shaggy they're stating that his PWC job offer letter has been revoked.

Regardless of charges, there was visual evidence that proved Oakman assaulted the young woman. That's enough in my book for his removal from the team.
And in my opinion enough evidence that charges should have been filed even without her pressing them. That's a part of the law I don't understand.

I'm of the opinion that if you purposefully cause harm to someone, regardless of the victims decision, the perpetrator should serve time.

If you intentionally hurt someone, you should be held responsible for that. As to ensure that you won't do it again. Letting people walk from violent offenses just instills a mindset that violent behavior is acceptable.

That's just my opinion though.

But, then we're making assumptions.

How do we know what evidence was shared with Briles and the coaching staff? Perhaps this was a cover up by their Title IX department or other compliance officer? We don't know what Briles knew and when.

IF  the case evidence was presented to him then, yeah, disciplinary action should've been taken. I'll assume BU has a "code of conduct" policy that covers this type of assault. Was the woman in question a BU student?
