1. Overshown played well in the run game as far as I watched. Not so much in coverage.I realize KU is better than we thought they were. They gave OU fits, too.
But we're clearly not playing even adequate defense. Its not players. Its scheme. We surrender the outside like it's swamp land real estate.
Some notes . . .
– Overshown played a very good game. He needs to play more.
– Our CBs continue to get abused. Once in every 10 passes they make a play.
– Byron Hobbs played some good football tonight.
– Our OL is simply not playing well. At all.
– Dicker is nails under pressure. Love that kid.
– Glad to see we have a TE who can catch. This was new.
– I thought Ingram played better than previous weeks.
– Ossai was everywhere. We need 10 more just like him.
He has a shoulder injury.Foster is not OK. Did you see him just touch-push tackle? We are really hurting on D.
Baylor and Iowa St will curb stomp this team. UT plays them away too.SMU, Baylor, Iowa St will beat us
Luckily we don't play SMU. bailor will bitch slap us.SMU, Baylor, Iowa St will beat us
Well, good thing smu isn’t on the schedule.?SMU, Baylor, Iowa St will beat us
We have played seven games and these same issues have been there all year. I assume if it could all be fixed it would be by now or at least shown some improvement.
The blue print is out there... get to the edge and nobody engages for at least 10 yards. We have played seven games and these same issues have been there all year. I assume if it could all be fixed it would be by now or at least shown some improvement.
I don’t doubt things could. be fixed but I do doubt this staffs ability to fix them.
If you’re a blue blood school, you ought to line up and whip your opponent with superior athletes. Our defense is all about deception and fooling the QB. It is tailor made for a mid-major that cant compete athlete for athlete. Well, from my vantage point it looks like we end up fooling ourselves. There is no reason, ever, for someone to be so wide open that the nearest defender isn’t in the TV screen... well, other than someone simply doesn’t know where to be. Too much thinking required rather than 11 men flying to the ball.
