The drainage makes all the difference. They're playing baseball in Arlington with no problem and I'm sure they've had as much rain.

I have no idea if the field has good drainage or not or if it is as good as Disch or Round rock.

I do know that this month has been the wettest May in history in the DFW area so it wouldn't have mattered where you played. It was going to be really wet.

Disch is artificial which obviously would help. I read somewhere this is the rainiest month in Dallas history. Hard to plan for that. Sometimes shit happens.

Also want to say that A&M will have to play in the SEC 50 years to come close to developing a game with an SEC team that even begins to approximate the TX-OU game.

A rival game takes more than years, it takes generations.

What A&M traded away was generations.

Generations of fan relations, family ties, communities, State lore, all of that and more.

Not to mention an inclusive State of Texas relationship tied to the game.

What they have now are mid-season bowl games.

With nice labels.

There is nothing deep down and foundational to go on. Not yet, not for years to come.

You only have to watch one TX-OU game to be reminded of that.

You can't make something more than it is, or isn't.
