***** Texas vs. Baylor Game Thread*****

i had things to do this morning/afternoon so i just finished watching the game. a bit off my prediction of UT 45 baylor 23 but we were on target to get there at halftime 20-0.

some notes from the game. why in the world do you play 3-3-5 against the wildcat and let them parade down the field over and over. so extremely frustrating. i know we are missing 2 of or LB starters but man that was horrible.

our D still had to go against an experienced baylor OL and skill position players save qb.

swoopes did a good job for playing injured.

i saw a lot of heart and effort. i also saw some very poor execution and bad coaching decisions (3-3-5).

way to end the season with a W!!
Regarding the 3-3-5: How long were those Baylor drives taking? It took Baylor all of the 3rd quarter to score those 10 points because we were not going to give up anything over the top. At one point we had freshman playing every position in the back 7. Texas wasn't going to allow a big play of any kind - they were going to force Baylor to methodically work their way down the field. Feel free to disagree with the strategy - but it worked.

Hipho

I was actually admitting that I was in the same crowd is dillo in predicting a defeat. I did not start watching the game until just before the end of the first half.

You're invited to join us but all I am serving is a steaming pot of crow chili.

yeah, i would have to disagree with that strategy.  when you have the running backs or wide receivers, anyone that wasn't the 4th string qb, you have to know they are running, over and over.

baylor would put 7-8 people in the box and stopped us from running many times; especially in the 2nd half.

How long do u think it will change on the new hires/staff changes? Hope not long. We got to get to recruiting.

Didn't we knock Joel Klatt out of the game when he was playing?

Yep, 70-3 and it could have been worse.

I would buy you a beer or two

You remembered
I remember all the physicality. I can remember nearly every person we have knocked out of the game since the late 60s/ early 70s.....but can't rememer what I had for lunch LOL

She might if I tell her that you predicted that Texas was going to win.

If she's like my wife, she'll just think we're both full of shit. lol

I told her when it was clear we were going to win that I had called this upset.

"Oh really? Are you going to the store later?"

What do you even say to that? lol

I guess it's safe to say that you've been to the store then?

Oh, and my wife doesn't just think I've full of shit. She knows it.
