Sonny Cumbie and Texas

Another nugget from my guy - "Cumbie will get a raise from TCU and I'm told he's much more excited to work with Kenny Hill than the Texas QBs. Meacham is going to leave."
Might also know that Strong is a dead man walking.

So is Meacham leaving? If it's not UNT (why would he go there) then who is he going to?

If Meacham doesn't leave - is Cumbie still excited to work with Kenny Hill?

If Cumbie isn't coming then who is going to be named OC on Dec 8th?

Word of advice to young journalists ... better to be slow and right, than fast and wrong when it comes to coaching searches.

El Mahico posted on OB that Strong has been told not worry about the oc it is being handled. Apparently he got pissed because he is not getting any say.

Lol.... Won't be able to pin that on him if it fails. Good laughs

Here is the question to ask:

Did Sonny Cumbie recruit either/both Wooten qb San Angelo and/or King ath/qb from Manvel?

Do they want Cumbie or do they want Cumbie and his recruits?

Texas has to be the hardest coaching job in all of college football, but there is always a coach that thinks they can handle this monster.  Say what you want about Brown, he knew how to "glad hand" the right people.

Like someone said above, Strong is dead man walking.

@autulloaas

A source close to Sonny Cumbie told the American-Statesman on Monday that TCU’s co-offensive coordinator is interested in coming to Texas as the Longhorns’ offensive coordinator.

So shocking...

Fort Worth Star telegram reporting Cumbie is NOT interested.

Austin American Statement reporting Cumbie is interested.

Oh my.

Aaron, your TCU friend may be right about hearing about Cumbie, but I think he may be wrong in believing the final outcome will be TCU.

Cumbie has more interest than he thinks.

I know this because it's in the stars. ;)

That's the problem with coaching searches. Every site/paper has a "source" and most will be saying something almost the complete opposite of the other.
