SEC baseball--- 2 top 5 teams in Austin Georgia vs. Texas

Texas hasn't lost a series in conference with 3 sweeps. Unless Missouri pulls off a major upset at arkie we will be tied.

Texas is on top. 11-1 compared to piggies 10-1
Now 11-1 and tied.

Looking ahead at our SEC schedule, the only top team remaining is Arkansas.

The rest of our conference series are against teams in the bottom half of the conference standings - Auburn, Kentucky, OU, Florida, Texas A&M.

Arkansas still has Georgia and LSU.

Top of the 9th, Georgia gets a leadoff infield single, but that is it. Volantis now has 7 strikeouts.
Good outing by Ruger Riojas but another stellar showing from Volantis. Dude has been an absolute stud coming in late and closing out these games.

Overall the pitching staff gave up only 8 runs (7 earned) against one of the top offenses in the country.

We are rounding into a very strong pitching and hitting ball club. That'll win a lot of game.

We have 25 games left and need at least 10 more wins to be set up nicely for a post season run. With the remaining schedule that is certainly doable. BUT we can't look to far ahead so let's focus on HCU and get ready for Lexington next weekend. As Aggy showed last weekend, any team, at any time, can jump up and bite you.

That's the thing I was most impressed with this weekend. I looked at the stats and thought we would be lucky to win 1 game in the series.

So was Volantis committed to aggy but switched when Schloss did or was he already a Texas commit? I agree with you, the dude is nails coming in from the pen!
