A 9 game schedule where you have 3 anual games, and you play every other team every other year seems much better. For a 16 team BIG12 this does require more travel, but if you are far from the geographic center then no matter what the geography is working against you.
I wouldn't think the BIG12 would take SMU. I would expect them to take whichever 3 or 5 best PAC teams are available to them( Colorado already decided)
Sorry, I missed that, but it obviously makes it much worse. Instead of playing the teams out of your division every 4 years it would be every 8 years.Just for the record it was three 8 team div. not two. Not that it matters.
