Interesting development coming together up in Norman. Hearing Dan Lanning will be OU's next HC. Sure thought it would be Venables and the source I hear this from (TFB-OU) seems very disappointed with this outcome.

Ironically, several of the guys on the Sports Animal radio show out of OKC/Tulsa are pumped at the possibility of Lanning. Especially if he brings Lebby as his OC. That said, its been rumored around these parts that Lanning is a fall back to who OU really wants; Rhule, Brady, or possibly Campbell.

They will fire him quickly if Cristobal agrees, otherwise they kick the Diaz can down the road for another year.

I had heard a couple of weeks ago that Diaz may be safe because of his freshman and incoming recruits. They were afraid they would lose them if the fired him and would be left with "nothing".
