**Running College Football Updates Thread**

I am thoroughly against corporate logos on the field or on the jersey. The school has their collectives to fund their portion. Endorsements need to be between the the companies and the player.

Have you seen Lake Travis lately? Sand bar after sand bar. Sad.
It's low? Man, with all the rain we've had up here our lakes are filled to the brim. We're worried about flooding, with another round of storms coming in a few hours.

Hill country is still in drought. Kerrville is still in the severe drought category. We don’t get all the rain y’all do.

At our house in NW Austin we have had a reasonable amount of rain. The Austin area rain mostly feeds into lake Austin and Lady bird lake which is bellow the lake travis and Buchanan reservoirs.

It seems like a frequent weather pattern in rescent years for Austin to get rain but not areas that feed into the reservoirs

Lake travis is now at 39.4% full. During the summer it tends to lose about a foot a week, so it's likely to get significantly worse over the coming months

Hopefully the coming switch to El Nina will result in more water to lake travis.

I haven't been up that way, but have heard Buchanan is way low. Has anyone seen the pictures of Canyon Lake? It is terrible. The Guadalupe River has stopped flowing before it gets to Lake Canyon.

We're coming off of two straight years of extreme drought. Last spring we hardly got any rain at all and then had 65 days with out rain in summer (and 64 days of 100 degrees, consecutively). They were brutal summers. This fall and winter did not bring much relief, but spring came out like gangbusters here.

Last year we got rain events with 1/4 inch, 1/2 half rain totals. This year we're seeing 2"-3" with every rain event. Landscapes up here are thriving.

Same here on Toledo Bend.

Same here at Lake Fork.

The Colorado River watershed can be monitored here...rainfall, flows, lake levels, etc, all in real time. Buchanan is up about 15' in the past several weeks, but is still about 10' low. Travis is up slightly over the same period, but has a long way to go. If Buchanan fills up, then anything extra will flow to Travis so fingers crossed. LCRA Hydromet

I've heard that Buchanan is responsible for keeping the water level of Lake LBJ at its norm. Lake Travis as well for Lady Bird. That is nuts, just for boat racing and beauty?
