florida state is looking strong, and agree that if they can get out of the acc they will be welcomed by the SEC or B1G.

The acc has 2 problems, the first problem is the disparity between them and the big 2 conferences. With the expansion of the SEC and the B1G, and the playoff financials that disparity both financially and perception has increased significantly.

The second problem is that with florida state and Clemson filing lawsuits to leave creates uncertainty and additional costs on the league, further widening the perception and financial gap between the Big 2.

The SEC and B1G already enjoyed a recruiting advantage over the other conferences. With the expanded SEC and B1G that advantage has grown. Any student athlete that wants to play on the biggest stage is going to gravitate to the SEC or B1G, and away from the other conferences.

I would not want to add more teams at this point if I"m the SEC. Each time you add a member, your slice of the pie gets smaller.

SEC already has a presence in Florida and South Carolina.

I'm definitely not a fan of expansion. I believe florida state is the only ACC the SEC could add without reducing the average per school revenue.

Between the fact that it doesn't dilute the per team revenue, and the fact that the SEC won't want to allow the B1G to have a big football school in the heart of the SEC, I would think florida state is a take.

It's hard for me to understand why the SEC would take any other ACC school, since it would likely result in a lower per team payout, and less compelling schedules. Unless clemson knows something we don't, it's idiotic for them to sue the ACC.
