I read on another site that Sumlin supposedly promised Murray 25 snaps per game when he was recruiting him.  If so, that looks to be problematic.

The thing with Sumlin is he's recruited some positions well, but he's also neglected several other positions. You can just look at aggys roster and it's obvious they are going to have issues in the future.

Start with the offensive line. They are already terrible, but they will be a dumpster fire next year. They will lose Cheeks, Mathews and probably Ifedi. Sumlin has lost all his Sherman OL and his guys are terrible. Let me put it this way, A&M's O-line next year will be worse than what we had last year.

Then look at LB. They have little to nothing here.

Then look at CB. They are starting two seniors, and I haven't even seen other guys get reps there. It's so bad at CB they had to move a former RB to be their starter.

Much like Sumlin's coaching his recruiting is fool's gold. He has all those 5 star WRs and QBs, which mean crap if you've completely neglected other needs.

Your analysis of aggy's roster is both impressive and disturbing at the same time. I don't care enough about aggy to delve that deeply, but power to you Horn Brother!

Mediocre is as mediocre does. But, S E C! Whoooooooop!!!

Lol, I try and keep up with the rosters of most teams in Texas.

The 25 snaps part might be a stretch, but even aggy homers like Taylor Hamm have confirmed the original story from Lopez where he said Sumlin promised playing time for Kyler.
As stated in the article, I can believe that some kind of promise was made about playing time but that no one really know exactly what that promise was.

Here's a quote from the article.

"Sumlin’s promise of how much playing time Murray would receive was at best misinterpreted by the Murray family or at worst was a promise that was not kept."

My wife knows a few people very closely associated with the Allen HS athletic department. Let me just say that based on what she hears from these people, odds that the Murray family have misinterpreted things are extremely high.

Stumblin announced today in his presser that he is opening back up the QB competition this week and has not announced a starter yet for the South Carolina game.

Would not be surprised to see Murray start the game.

And not surprised if Hubenak finishes the game!

Will be interesting to see who transfers after this season.
