For those that read the history lesson referenced above, it's readily apparent that the song was intended as a satire of the UT President and his repeated use of the phrase "The Eyes of Texas Are Upon You". There is zero evidence that the song was ever intended or used as a form of racism. 

I'll ask this: is it possible that while it's intent was satire that the song could also be racist?  I mean the fact that it was 1st performs at a minstrel show with white students in blackface and sang to the tune of "railroad" pretty much sums that up, NTG...

And that’s not all of it. But I’m sure you will say none of that was racist. That black people, I guess we don’t decide what we feel is racist. So, for 100's of years, countless people have sang The Eyes of Texas countless times without an ounce of malice, hate, or racism in mind and now it's racist?

I read the story TWICE and could not find a single thing Trump said that was anti-Semitic.

In his words, Trump did not specify that they were Jewish. Instead, he addressed them as real estate professionals. And in that perspective, he was totally correct with what he said. You would have to take it out of context for it to not make sense anymore and come to the conclusion it was anti-semtic.

If anything, the idea that spawned the story was itself anti-semitic. They literally took words he addressed to real estate folks and applied them to their race instead.

I think the singing of "The Eyes of Texas" has done more to bring people of all races together than it has ever done to divide.  People of all religions, creeds, colors, and nationalities have proudly sang the song at the top of their lungs after victories and even after defeat.  It's a song that regardless of the outcome, we are still together.

1) upgraded MLK's birthplace to a national historical park.
2) posthumously pardoned Jack Johnson
3) established an Opportunity and Revitalization Council to restore insalubrious black neighborhoods
4) signed a major crime reform bill applauded by black community
5) granted Alice Johnson clemency
6) loaned his personal jet to Nelson Mandela
7) overseen the lowest black unemployment in history
8 denounce David Duke over 20 years ago
9) deported ex-Nazi
10) been given a lifetime achievement award for paving way for blacks into corporate America

I will let you judge for yourself if those actions are of a racist. I say this as not on defense of Trump but to point out the difference between an argument and a debate. An argument is who is right and who is wrong; whereas, a debate is WHAT is right and wrong.

If there is going to be an open dialogue about race relations, then perhaps there should be an agreed upon definition of racism. Apparently the definition of racism is changing from a set definition to an evolving interpretation of "I know it when I see it."

The song was created to be a school song, simply stolen to some extent from a guy who led Confederate forces and taught a class. The term "the eyes of the South are upon you" in itself is not racist. The simple reference to the South is not racist.

I did read a story about this and again, came out scratching my head. If we're going to ban every song ever sung by a bad guy, get ready to say good bye to music in general.

But I'm willing to listen and learn if you've got a good explanation.

Not all Jews are conservative. Not all Jews are liberal. They do not think alike as you apparently expect them to. That in itself is racist (stereotyping).
