SignUp Now!Texas is not in. It's simple though, beat TT and they're in.Can anyone confirm that we clinched a spot in Dallas? Or is the race still open bc all the teams that had to win won to stay in the running (ou, okie st, ksu)? Do we now rely on any of those teams taking an L next week too?
This is my understanding as well. If the Horns take an L next week, the Kansas St result is what matters to us. We need KState to beat Iowa St.Texas is not in. It's simple though, beat TT and they're in.
They can also get in somehow if they lose to TT, OSU wins, OU wins and KST beats Iowa St. Don't ask me how, but that's what I saw.
Bottom line, just win baby.
Texas should just win and make the math simple. This is my understanding as well. If the Horns take an L next week, the Kansas St result is what matters to us. We need KState to beat Iowa St.
"Best cumulative win percentage in the games amongst tied teams for the head to head."
So Texas is 0-1 vs ou/OSU. ou is 1-1 vs OSU/UT. OK state is 1-0 vs ou/TX. that means Sooners vs Pokes. Texas needs KState to win or either Oklahoma team to lose if the Horns lose by some chance.
If we lose to tech at home, we don't deserve to play for a Championship.Texas is not in. It's simple though, beat TT and they're in.

Of course just winning solves the problem, but if it doesn't happen then I want to understand what we need to get to Dallas.Texas should just win and make the math simple.
Plus, I always want them to beat OU every year because it's OU. I rarely think about TT; however, I've been waiting for this game all year. If there was 1 team I want Texas to put everything together and score 60 points on....it's TT. Just want them to show TT that the only way you get on a road to Lubbock is by taking a wrong turn and getting lost.
True!!!!!!If we lose to tech at home, we don't deserve to play for a Championship.
I think IT mentioned that line about UT being in if the Horns beat ISU but they were supposedly quoting Danny Davis of the Austin American Statesman. My concern now is that the team and fans are treating the win like it was a playoff win and now can they get back up for Tech on Friday? After Okie State beat OU in an emotional Bedlam game, they laid a giant egg against CFU the next week.I think I may have been pushing the line that we were in if we beat ISU.
Could have swore I saw that in multiple places.
My bad.
But I am more confident now than before. Tech has given us fits in past years, but unless yormaks boys gouge us hard (and I am expecting it) we should beat them handily.
We are a lot better team than they are. And we played a pretty solid game against ISU. If we play like that again, we’ll stomp Tech.
And wouldn’t that be sweet !
After the loss to ou, every game was essentially a playoff game. Hopefully, the team and coaches have learned how to focus on each game and have the necessary motivation. That said, I do not think extra motivation will be necessary against Tech. I expect a fired-up team, on senior night, at night.lolI think IT mentioned that line about UT being in if the Horns beat ISU but they were supposedly quoting Danny Davis of the Austin American Statesman. both Danny Davis and Kirk Bohls can go pound sand, the AAS has always been contrarian since I was a kid, and thats a Long time ago, the exception of an dont know who is at the Dallas Morning News but they always gave us positive vibes, but nobody reads those rags sheets any more, thats why I turned to Horn fan websites, they can be brutally honest but with the exception of the Aggie fan who tries to infiltrate the sites now and again, they show the real pulse of Horn NationI think IT mentioned that line about UT being in if the Horns beat ISU but they were supposedly quoting Danny Davis of the Austin American Statesman. Maybe Sark should start designing plays where Whitt is the primary. When he gets the ball in his hands, good things usually happenI really admire Sark's transparency...at least as much as he's able to without revealing something useful to opponents. I suspect that characteristic plays well with discerning recruits and their parents.
With X, Mitchell, and Sanders as highly skilled primary receivers there aren't a lot of balls left to go around. JWhitt is also an outstanding downfield blocker, so he's frequently used in that capacity. He's also a check-down receiver, but QE tends to look for his RB check-down which is a safer pass.I wonder if there is some additional context that is being left out.
on another post the author said the knock on QE is he is slow to go thru his progressions and starts seeing"ghosts" in the pattern, he looked that way last night, very tentative and his timing looked off in the first half, look how many times he targets XW compared to the others, the DB that covered him last night did an excellent job in single coverageI wonder if there is some additional context that is being left out.
