Winning or not, Texas is the premier program in the conferebce.

Winning makes the top program. or whykeep score.Or we talking about swimming?
I agree that we suck until we don’t…but you need to give up on the idea that staying in the Big 12 is better for Texas.  No one believes that and it’s just not true.

I do not belive Texas will stay in Big 12, but do belive it a mistake to move.

proabily kn a few years ESPN will declare any school thats wants to play big time football has to join SEC

Wonder how Big 12did vs SEC in bowl games.

How did the Big 12 do in playoff?

The SEC had two teams in it meaning that the rest of the SEC bowl games was picking two rungs lower. So the Big 12 number one played the SEC number 3.

A while back I asked how Big 12 did in bowl games vs SEC. No answer so finaly looked it up.

Terrible Big 12  4  Mighty SEC  0 Big 12  5-2 over  all WV and Iowa St. loses.

SEC 5-9 overall.

What were the conferences represented in the national championship?

The bowls lost their measure of the quality of a team or conference long ago. The only measurements of a conference that matter now are CFPs, media perception, recruit perceptions, and $. The SEC wins all of those going away.

I answered.  The top two SEC teams played in the playoffs.  They didn't play in lowly bowl like the Big 12 did.  So the Big 12 champion played the 3rd place SEC team.  While the 1st and 2nd place SEC teams played for the National Championship.  I would rather be part of the conference competing at the highest levels of the sport instead of being in the conference where the champion plays the dregs of the other conference in glorified exhibition games.

The lowly SEC was 3-1 in the playoffs.

Agree with all who replied. Just pointing out SECis not so strong over all.

Give Tom back and I will take Texas over top two of SEC.

You answered with a question no answer. Sugar bowl a lowley bowl?

Don't agree with the strength of the SEC.  They were playing teams that were two places higher than them in their conferences.

All bowls are lowly.  If you don't make it to the playoff the bowl games are just a show.  Bowl games are meaningless.  Half the good players sit out (hell, QBs are sitting out now), coaches have left, etc.  If you are in the playoff, everyone stays (except Lane Kiffin) and you have a meaningful game.

Doubt if Big 12 fans at schools that beat SEC schools would agree with you on thier games were meanless.

Betyou would have been happyif Horns had played in a bowl game.

Football is is worty watching even at Jr. Hi. level.

Not totally accurate. All the $ec schools were favored over the Big XII schools. Tech killed The Pirate/Miss St 34-7, #7 Baylor beat #8 Ol Miss 21-7 (yes, I know Baylor was the Big XII Champ and ranked 1 spot higher but still the underdog in this game) and Kansas St killed LSU to complete the trifecta.

Bama and Georgia were in a class of their own however even so Bama lost to aggy in collieville.

Iowa St lost to Clemson so the Big XII had at least 2 loses.
