Is Coach Strong In Trouble??

Charlie Strong did not have an affair with Mrs. Blue.

Trust me on this.

We have members who are certain that nobody knows anything about this – yet in their next breath tell you what the truth of the matter is, despite only going on some biased, desired hunch.

Let's just say I can't trust you knowing what I know. I don't think you can be more connected on this matter than I am, and I know how connected you are. My source is in the AD and it's a common source with a very popular Texas website moderator who is quoted here often.

At this point, it doesn't matter to me what Charlie did or didn't do. It's over.

I will say this, Doc. I like your position much better than mine right now and will quickly adapt to yours, as of now. You are very well connected and yet really don't say much about it. No fights. No one loses their cheerios over it. I'm so there. LOL

Doc, I do feel for the Strongs.  However, I am not the least concerned about opposing coaches using this to negatively recruit.  When they do it makes them look dirty.  Negative recruiting backfired against aggy this past year.  Stoops has Mixon, Briles has Outside the Lines and Rape U, and Sumlin is stumblin.  All of their dirty laundry is out in the open.  Strong has way to much class to share the details of this situation in public.  However, I am sure that all the parents of his recruits no that what is being rumored by opposing coaches and fan site "reporters" is not close to being true.  It makes Strong that much more likeable and classy when he refuses to talk about other teams.
This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^. I don't really agree with Doc that this is going to affect Strong at all.

My ugly mug hangs in a museum from my time on the forty. I have direct connections to several in the AD as well as numerous others due to relationships developed over time and it's funny to read some of the scat that gets plastered on this site.

Good lord, #sources...

Shout out to those that tried to avoid judgement before anyone had verifiable facts. Hate this for Chaflie and his family. Human nature says two things I think, his family will remember this for far longer than anyone else, with the exception of the bad guys. They will remember it as long as they think it is useful. As mentioned earlier, it most likely will backfire. Think we can rest assured the farmers, preachers, and you still sucks will give it a try, anyway.

Just glad it seems to be behind us. A trying time for the Longhorn family.

Time to shift to the '17 recruiting thread and spring ball. Go have some fun. Hook'em

...Opposing coaches will run with it in their negative recruiting and blogs, like this one, will have those that dislike Charlie constantly beating the drum of "Well, the case was settled, but we know he cheated".....
I dont think this will make any difference to 16-17 year olds

And if its coming directly from Stoops or Briles or Sumlin, the kid might just laugh in their faces as none in that group has any business pointing fingers .....

Fine math, Ricky. It's a good day to be a Horn. Just had a horrible thought. What must it be like to be an aggie? Those that remember Lil' Abner comics should remember the little character, Joe something I couldn't pronounce, that had a rain cloud over his head all the time. Must be like that.

Cool. Where is this mug located? I will have to checkout next time I am there.

But back on page two, per BON link, CS said he was not a party to the divorce. I'm not a legal advisor, but having been through a couple of those, it tells me he was not the issue.

What verifiable facts have developed?

The only one I can think of is that the case was settled. There's no verifiable facts to come from that at all. None. Nada. Zilch.

Look, I'm as happy as anyone that it got settled and this mess didn't have to play out in public. I think we've dodged a bullet.

But let's not pretend this is something that its not.

To close out this thread

1. Doc Longhorn sources say Strong did nothing wrong

2. Texexspur sources say Strong did nothing wrong

3. Chip Brown sources say Strong did nothing wrong

4. JS/IT crawifsh and now say nothing can be proven or not sure

5. Several other posters on OB and other sites saying same Strong did nothing wrong.

Who knows what happened but it appears that more are siding on the Strong did nothing wrong side.
