Or keep denying it and inspire me to post example after example from that thread and just make this uglier than it needs to be.

I feel like you didn't even read the board, you just saw my quote. Read it all next time. I even followed up the statement saying that the information was interesting, but no one should take anything written on a forum as the complete truth. No one talked about it at all unless you count about 6 comments as "quoting this post as gospel." But yes, let us enjoy the board. Save the fighting for aggy.

Mark - the only blame you must take ownership of, is your claim you received your inside info on good authority.  Thass all.

I generally call these kinds of claims out because I am old and tend to be an asshole.  That and i am pretty cynical and suspicious of unsupported claims.

If it makes you feel any better, I do the same on IT and 247 as well.

Now, here is an opportunity for you to do the same with me. 

You probably already know that I have a couple of hoodlums that I call close friends for the last 60 years.  Both are imbedded, deeper than a tick, in the doings of all things UT - like millions of dollars worth of imbedding.  (They are just too cheap to pay their golfing debts).

Suffice it to say, they are and were extremely familiar with the vetting of Charlie Strong.  Based on what they have told me, you and your contact are waaaay off base with your infidelity rumor.

Well, "gospel" might have been a bit rhetorical, but when a poster says "wow, if true", it means he is considering that it might actually be true.  That's pretty close to being "gospel" to that poster.  Whether he says he believes it or not is academic - the seeds of doubt have been planted.

Doubts, right now, are damaging to the reputation of Charlie Strong - even if its six people.

And convicting Strong from reading internet rumors are tantamount to calling the Pope a rapist because it was read on the net.
