The Longhorns and Boilermakers will face off in the Round of 32 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Sunday night with the winner earning a berth in the Sweet 16.

Texas advanced after winning their first game in the NCAA Tournament since 2014 with an 81-73 win over Virginia Tech on Friday.

The 'Horns and Boilermakers have played five times prior on the hardwood, with Texas taking a 4-1 record all-time into tonight's game against Purdue.

Tipoff time is scheduled for 7:40 PM CST with the game being televised nationally on TNT.

Can't go into our normal shooting droughts and expect to beat Purdue.

14-9 Texas now 24-14 Purdue.  We have to get some offensive guys in the off-season

Not impressed with this Purdue team. It's what we haven't done that has us behind.

Texas should be attacking the low post and Purdue bigs trying to draw some fouls.

This team didn't quit and played hard.  It's hard to beat a team that out shoots you 46-12 at the FT line.  I'll say that again.  Purdue shot 33-46 FTs to Texas 7-12.  That is 26 points to overcome in a 10 pt game.  Can't remember seeing that much of a disparity at the line in a looooong time.

Proud of the team. Played tough until the end.

I think Herman Munster had a few uncalled pushes. But overall, not the worst refs. Their bigs will be NBA bigs in a year or two. Herman will likely be a backup, but he will play in the league.

Oh yeah, a lot of those fouls were absolutely warranted.  Wish Texas had attacked the rim more and put the onus on the refs.  26 free points is hard to overcome for any team.  Great game by both.  Purdue is damn good team and Ivey is clearly a top 5 lottery pick.  Have to reload key spots via the portal.
