Game Thread: Texas vs. Purdue

The team played good but without a true center, Purdue scored at will on the inside. Overall, I like what I saw. They need a couple of pieces to be really competitive and a shot at winning it all.

The Lady Longhorns are in the sweet 16.

This team didn't quit and played hard.  It's hard to beat a team that out shoots you 46-12 at the FT line.  I'll say that again.  Purdue shot 33-46 FTs to Texas 7-12.  That is 26 points to overcome in a 10 pt game.  Can't remember seeing that much of a disparity at the line in a looooong time.
The 9+ mins of no scoring (bad offensive foul call on Jones which would have ended it sooner) hurt and yet the Horns were in the game with 1 min to go.

Speaking of the call on Jones, the lack of fouls on Purdue were bad. Several times (especially the huge bump on Carr in the 2nd half while he had the ball) I saw Beard talking to the refs but to no avail. I can't remember watching any game in my life (60+ years) where the fouls were so tilted in one way. It was really frustrating to watch Williams continue to knock our defenders backwards when their feet were set and planted yet no offensive fouls were called. Shaq used to do that in his day and I hated it then. Be that said, Williams and Ivy had good games for Purdue.

Proud of the Horns, they never quit.  ?

BTW, I bet some beers with a buddy of mine who is a Boilermaker. I told him I'll buy his beers but he should buy the refs some.  ?

Bad game for Allen. Bad calls by officials. Can't  let the officials to decide the game, but it seems they did.

Get most back and add the right players and we are better across the board.

Those questioning  our coach should be questioned for mental issues!

We are better than were we have ever been in the last decade plus.
