Connor Brewer, Still #TGOD

The Baylor game was all one needed to see to prove Swoopes was and is not the answer, and should be put out to pasture ( transfer ).

See this has been my train of thought. Two years ago Boykin was a joke to everyone including TCU fans. Swoopes threw out some stinkers last year but he had some great games too. He had the most passing yards in a RRS than any UT QB ever if I'm not mistaken. He just seems to panic when things are falling apart and with our Oline last year even Vince would have had bad games.

I'm not saying he is the answer just yet and I would love to see how Heard does after Spring ball, but to say he has reached the full mark of his potential at 19 is just weird.
I don't think Vince Young EVER panicked. Vince would have rushed for 1000 yards last year with all the chances Swoopes had to run on the zone play. I'm not saying Vince was great his first year, but I can't remember where he lost games for us. My memory isn't as good as it used to be but I can't remember a game where Vince looked anything like Swoopes did against Baylor.

...or K-State, or TCU, or Arkansas

Exactly. IDK if Swoopes was ordered not to run it himself or if he's just incapable of making the zone read work. Watching him execute those plays was often more frustrating than his inaccurate passing.

We lost 12-0 against OU and Vince was replaced against Tech. Vince had the raw ability but he had to develop just like any other QB.
