No one denied it was not happening but is it happening at the level many like to think it is. That is the big question. Also the argument seems to be everyone is doing it but Texas is not. Get real Bo Davis was here. You think he did not skirt the rules here? Of course he did. Now, now, now . . . you guys are just picking on the SEC again. This stuff never really happens and makes us all look so aggy.
I once said Ole Miss paid players and was using the same tactic in a recruitment. It was silly of me to do that as we all know it's just my knee-jerk reaction at work. Laremy Tunsil confirmed today that it just doesn't happen.
Isn't life grand?![]()
Now, now, I believe you said I was being aggy about losing a recruit and every time we lose a recruit we accuse someone in the SEC of cheating. No one denied it was not happening but is it happening at the level many like to think it is. I stand by my comments that I am still not convinced that everyone is paying recruits and until more evidence proves otherwise I will believe this. Also please tell me how Mack Brown and now Strong has been able to recruit some of the talent to Texas they have if all the top players are getting paid. Hell to believe your theory it would be a wonder if Texas could break the top 50 in recruiting rankings. I will also stand by comment that if every time Texas loses a recruit and someone throws out that recruit must be getting paid without a shred of evidence yes that is very aggy. Now, now, I believe you said I was being aggy about losing a recruit and every time we lose a recruit we accuse someone in the SEC of cheating.
Well, they do.
As for Bo Davis – he was our worst recruiter but at Bama, he had huge success. What was different?
I'm not trying to rub your nose in it, but I do feel vindicated. Don't steal my moment here. lol
And I totally agree with you about Baylor. They're using their private status as protection right now. A Christian might say they're hiding their sin.

So if you feel vindicated that one player got paid good for you but I can understand why this would be so important to you since most if not all of your inside info proved to be wrong any potential of being close to right is probably pretty important to you.
Now, girls, y'all are both pretty!![]()
I guess the lesson here is don't position your opinions as "inside information" if it is not. But, I must say, SHA makes a good point about Bo's recruiting shortcomings at UT. Quite the surprising turnaround at Bama and now it's gotten him in trouble.
I also agree with BM that we shouldn't accuse others of cheating every time we lose a coveted recruit. It does sound very aggy, but admittedly I'm guilty of it too. I can't imagine why any recruit would choose Ole Miss over UT. Does not compute.
