Big Recruiting Weekend #3

From Hamiltton: "There is one visitor on campus that has given a verbal commitment on every visit he has been on."

I think he's talking about the DL Alexander

From what I understand, Royal remains "firm" in his commitment. However, he will make an announcement sometime in July on what he wants to do. I know, I know, how committed is that? He said it could play out until NSD.

Florida and LSU are battling to steal him from Texas.

He said he knew Texas would try to lock down his commitment. And said Texas was doing the same with CB Greedy James, who also visited this weekend.

So apparently James is in some type of limbo as well.

A post from another site that I felt was applicable

"Texas closed the weekend like a program that knows it runs the room. Royal loves Texas, Sales had a killer visit, Texas leads for Alexander and Johnson, stabilized Greedy, made Sherrard a real fight, and Bridges flips if Texas pushes. Rhoa left impressed. Texas has momentum everywhere"

Yes we do

Sam Speigelman has a article out this morning that says Texas leads.

Texas leading for blue-chip RB target

Elite running back Landen Williams-Callis wrapped up a busy stretch of official visits this weekend at Texas.

The Longhorns got the final crack at the nation’s No. 3 RB from Richmond (Texas) Randle, who previously hit SMU, Houston, Indiana, LSU, Oregon, and Texas A&M.

It’s my belief that Williams-Callis ultimately plays somewhere inside the state on Saturdays.

Houston, SMU, and Texas A&M are all in pursuit of the blue-chipper. From speaking to multiple sources plugged in on this recruitment, intel points to Texas being near the top of this list.

I am moving closer to moving my prediction from the Aggies to the Longhorns for Williams-Callis. If a decision were made today, I believe Texas would be the choice.

After returning to Austin a second time this offseason, sources believe Williams-Callis was bullish about his fit alongside Derrek Cooper in the Horns’ backfield.

A decision is expected to be locked in during July or by August, before his senior season gets underway.

The dead period began at midnight last night. FYI. No contact.

Some announcement dates/times from our friends at OTF. I have paraphrased the comments.

Tuesday, June 23rd at 1:30 p.m. CT — WR Kyron Brown. Texas should be the choice. Kansas State is the main threat.

Wednesday, June 24th at 7 p.m. CT — CB Dhillon McGee. OTF says it's too close to call. It's SMU or Texas with Penn State hanging around. The most recent OV was Texas and that should help some.

Thursday, June 25th — QB Neimann Lawrence. He will be a Horn. 2028 recruit. Michigan was the competition.

Friday, June 26th — S Junior Tu’upo. He's a Horn.

Saturday, June 27th — CB Montre Jackson. Should be the Horns. We've led sinice January. SMU was the main compettition.

Ismael Cararra may be closing in on a decision maybe? He spent the weekend in Austin on an UOV and reportedly had a great time.
