Man I’m still just flabbergasted by the Beard deal. I really liked Beard and I’ve been posting we are going to win a Natty for awhile. Obviously you can’t keep someone if that police report is true. We know Beard is a hardcore no nonsense kinda coach. He must have some anger type issues because you slap, bit, and rear choke a woman, there are some things that just aren’t right and you need some help. I hope he gets it. Going to be hard, if not impossible to get another coaching job. 
 

So it’s going to be interesting to see how the team moves forward. Rodney Terry has been around a long time and knows the ropes. All the other guys will stay the same. Beard could just get them to play so hard on defense. Hopefully Terry can too. Last night wasn’t a good indication. After that news I expected them to be flat. 
 

As always we’ll see. Winning is hard at Texas.

After the game last night, Carr, Bishop and others made it a point to hug Coach Terry. I hope the younger guys saw that and give him or whoever if Beard doesn't come back, a chance.

I was hoping yesterday was a bad dream but no.

Yea, it felt weird at the Moody Center last night. You could tell the Beard situation was on their minds as well as the fans. The good thing is they pulled together at the end of the game to win it.

What I would do is conduct a search and assure Terry he is one of the candidates. Terry is a good coach, great recruiter and the players like him. But we should have a HC with more skins on the wall, IMO.

Remember the tragic Baylor basketball situation of the late 80s?  The Baylor coach at the time found coaching jobs.  Beard will coach again if he seems to have legitimately rehabbed and plays the long game.

After a lot of thought on this, I don't think Beard will surrvive this. But I do wonder why he was arrested? Did someone witness something? If not it's one person's word against another which should not ruin anyone. I have seen women lie their asses off in situations like this. Innocent until proven guilty. The woke social media has thrown this tenet to the wayside to inflame their fake outrage and virtue signaling. But if he is guilty throw the book at him. I'm going to let the legal process unfold before I pass judgement.

I agree with you on waiting until all the facts come out, but do yourself a favor and read the report. It sheds some light for sure. Anwar posted it on Twitter.

I have. And no it doesn't. Have you ever been accused of something you didn't do? I have and it's a helpless feeling when whoever is in authority takes the other side. The only thing the police report does is quote her accusations. I know they won't come out and say they have physical evidence that he committed the crime. But until the conclusion of the trial or a dismissal we need to with hold judgement. I really don't want to get in a argument, but abuse goes the other way more often than you think.

I'm not arguing, but there was enough there for reasonable cause. Like I said, I will wait til all the facts come out but it doesn't look good at all at this point.

Gotta imagine with what she reported, the officers were able to have a decent idea how valid the report was. The report even mentions that a family violence specialist made the decision to make the arrest. 

At the end of the day, it's better and safer that women are believed in these situations instead of thinking they may be lying their asses off. That is how women end up dead in these scenarios.

Would love to see Ivey back home. He coaches much like he played, scrappy.

I like what Musselman has/is doing at Arkansas. I doubt Arkansas would let him get away. 
Oats I think I saw where they extended him out to 2027 with huge raises. 
 

Texas could and will pay. They get out of having to pay Beard. I’m sure they would owe his staff buy out money but shouldn’t be significant. 
 

Basketball is kinda like football. You aren’t going to get the top top guys and when Texas gets an opening all the ones that you could get big raises and big buyouts and most importantly this group is not a for sure thing at all. 
 

CDC seems to be fairly good at this stuff so we’ll see what he can drum up.

This is why we have due process and jury trials. Sounds like you have already made your mind up.
