Without Disu this team doesn't have a chance. This team seems to be less than the sum of it's parts. IMHO, the roster is not elite but much better than their record indicates. I have been very disappointed in the season, as I expected more. Not a Final Four run, but much more.

I good general rule is, if you go 8 minutes without a field goal, late in the second half… you’ll probably lose.
Yep, Texas went cold and Baylor got hot. Disu going down and Brock fouling out didn't help either.

Not that it changed the outcome of the game but that Flagrant 1 Foul on Brock, which was his 5th foul, for running over the screen was BS. He has a target on his back from the Big XII refs. Even the announcers stated that if anyone else then him would have done that, it would have been a common foul. Then shortly afterwards, it happened 2 times where Texas ran over the screen. The call? Common foul.

In general doesn't a good coach during a 9-0 run call a time out. ( Texas did). Then run a play with avery high precentage ofscoring. Then maybe 3pointers might be Hornsbest chance

Yes, that is correct with most coaches.

Gerry Hamilton said this morning that Tyrese Hunter's confidence is gone and has hurt Texas. RT and his assistants need to get on that.

This team did have some bad losses, a few games being non-competitive. But.... also won 20 games total (playing in the toughest conference) and had a few really good wins.

I'm curious what you would consider a "good run" in the tourney for this team? Past round 1... to the sweet 16.... What would be great, good, bad ugly in other words?

A first round loss would be pretty disappointing. It'll be hard to be too upset if we lose in the round of 32, as we are most likely going to be facing a 1 or 2 seed. The disappointment there would be that we didn't play better during the season to earn a higher seed and avoid such a high seed that early in the tourney. Knocking off a top seed to make it to the sweet 16 would be a nice finish for this team at this point.

1 W each in both the big 12 tourney and ncaa tourney is all that is expected to me given the team is decent but not good.

My benchmarks:
The sweet 16 annually is a good season.
Round of 32 is par for Texas basketball at this point.
1 and done when we are a favorite is bad.

If we can keep our recruiting class together, I expect us to be better next year.

I agree. This year's team is just not as good as last year's team was.
