2026 PORTAL

We’ll end up with bodies, but the disappointing thing is saying “obsessed with winning a natty” and “all in”, when you’re not.

What made you decide that we're not? We offered the Michigan OT significantly more than MIchigan. Is that not all in? What else are you going to do? Hire a prostitute?

We offered the Wisconsin LB the same money he took at Ohio State. Sometimes midwest people gonna midwest.

The only fault Sark has right now is that he didn't serve up the perfect portal class when some fans wanted him to. This isn't a problem of the portal. Its a problem of impatience.

"We'll end up with bodies" What is that? Aren't they all bodies? Or were you implying doom and gloom based on nothing more than your own impatience? Players on four playoff teams still have not entered the portal. Players not on those teams have still not entered the portal. We're losing back ups and back ups to back ups.

French wasn't going anywhere here. Oemeazulu was sharing time with two others, didn't play much. Seldom made a play. Why is this just killing the fan base?

One last thing. Many of the players we have let go are not going to be replaced. You're paying people to kill grass on the sidelines and that, frankly, is nothing anyone would want to do.

Wisner ended up taking the same money at FSU as Texas had offered. Same with several others so far. They aren't improving their situation. Is Wisner going to enjoy a 3-9 season at FSU?

Texas will host multiple official visitors today.

Cal all-conference linebacker Cade Uulave is one of those. A three-year starter, he totaled 97 tackles in 2025.

Cam Coleman finished his trip to Tech. Bama is seen as the current favoritie. Kid is from the state. Texas still there throwiing haymakers. Texas' offer is larger than Tech's, I hear.

Per Burton:

There are still players from other schools entering the portal every day.

Word is, we could hear of some big names drop today and/or tomorrow.

I have removed Bo Barnes from the outgoing list. He is said to be deciding today.

Coleman* But I don't have a good feeling with that one. Just give me lineman.

Oregon State transfer OG Dylan Sikorski is on campus

The 6-foot-4, 315-pounder made six starts as a redshirt freshman in 2025.

2025 (SOPHOMORE)
• Played in 10 games, making six starts
• Saw action on 444 offensive snaps
• Graded out at 63.2 per Pro Football Focus

Wisconsin's OG Brunner still has not set up a Texas visit. Said to be leaning Indiana.

Just take a look at Sark's behavior. Is he freaking out? Is he pleading with players to stay? Is he giving them the money they want?

Obviously, this is a house cleaning. People standing on the sidelines shouldn't get a raise for performance. So they're leaving.

Will you honestly miss French? Or Omeazulu? Neither of them hardly ever played.

We have players that we've tried to keep and did so successfully. Others aren't ones we're trying to keep. Why is that? Sark has a plan.

I know that Texas staff is going with a smaller roster ini order to bolster salaries of players who are not going to ride the pine. Some say we'll have a roster of 73 to 80 players.

Just got Raleek Brown, an awesome pick up at RB. Definite upgrade.

Some players we're after are still playing. Others haven't visited yet. Others haven't finished their visits. Be patient. This will work out fine.
I agree with you on most points, but until we start getting more players from the portal, depth could be an issue, especially on the OL. Also interesting that we're doing a house cleaning when it was thought that the culture within our program was in a good spot. At this point all I can do is trust in Sark.

I think that many people are dumbfounded by this because of the build up on places like On Texas Football. We were told in so many words to "get your popcorn ready" because Texas was really going to make noise in the portal. I was told that Avatar was the best movie ever made. With that expectation, I walked out of the movie saying it was the worst movie I had ever seen. I probably over-reacted because of the build up. It was probably just a run of the mill special effects bonanza with a blahzay plot. I think this phenomena is happening with us Texas fans.

My personal opinion (perhaps uninformed) is that Texas is in unchartered waters for Texas. Texas' stated game plan up to this year was to primarily use our own HS recruits and supplement a little bit with the portal. I honestly don't think Texas, at this point, is proficient in the portal. I certainly don't think Texas was prepared for missing on most of their original targets. I wonder if there even was a plan B.

UT and other schools have to act in their own best interest. If a player is not producing, you don't hand out raises or make an offer simply to have a warm body around.

OL will be fine. We'll get ours. But if you remember, we had a lot of depth on the OL this year and probably 4-5 either did not play at all or play only because it was mop up time.

We played Stroh, I suppose, because we had to find out what we had after watching him collect dust for two years. It didn't work out and now he's gone. He asked Texas for a raise, believe it or not.

I don't know SHA. There's only four teams left. A drop in the bucket compared to how many players have entered.

I just can't feel good about how Texas has gone about this.

And you can't redshirt players and then ask them to take less money. The staff thought they were worth it out of high school. Why not continue to pay them that amount after a redshirt?

There are many, many teams in the same boat right now. The exodus isn't just at Texas. It's everywhere.

Some teams will fill their roster to the new 105 limit. In the worrld of paying for players, all that does is drive up your cost. Texas is doing the opposite.

As for avatar . . . . civilized population discovers a new world, primitive. Civilized people try to take over the new world and end up at war with the natives. Where have you heard that storyline before? lol

Trust cautiously. This is the same group that evaluated our returning OL last offseason and said, "we're good!"

I was turned off by the lessons they were trying to teach me.

Oh FOOTBALL! Now no-one will say "start a new thread."

By this time in a freshman (or RS frosh)'s career, you have a pretty good idea of what the floor and ceiling are. So if you're reluctant to pay a lot of money, it normally means you're wanting better.

Sometimes you get Vince Young. Other times you get Edorian McCollough.

Thats okay. We don't all see things the same way. No problem with that.

We got our OL guy, lol
