2026 PORTAL

Here are a few "names of interest" from Bobby Burton / OnTexas Football. The first two Texas is highly interested in. The rest are on campus this weekend:

Andrew Sprague - OT MeChicken -- Started at RT as a true freshman. If we land him, Baker will likely move to guard (for a season at least).

Jake Guarnera - OG MeChicken -- Also plays C.

Jayden Woods - DE Florida -- Will be a sophomore. Fantastic edge rusher.

Cam Coleman WR Auburn -- The big fish in the portal.

Ian Geffrard - DT Arkansas -- This one may already be a done deal. This kid is GINORMOUS!!! Closer to 400 lbs than 300.

Isaac Brown - RB Louisville -- Home run hitter type back. More in the mold of Wisner and Blue than the bruiser that Texas needs to run between the tackles.

Gianni Spetic - K -- Memphis -- 4 of 5 on kicks over 50 yards. This one also may already be done.

And a fun fact for your consumption: Muschamp personally contacted Derrick Williams and asked him to not enter the portal. He's not in yet....
Geffard is mediocre at best. He is the "ginormous" defensive tackle that Memphis' true freshman QB carried on his back for 9 yards on his only carry of the game in the win against Arkansas. Getting transfers from Arkansas should never happen at Texas unless Darren McFadden can somehow be reincarnated.

Hamilton says Jayden Woods is the best NFL prospect Texas is pursuing.

From Louisville On3 board mod:

"A little bit of a late evening update with what I'm hearing on the Louisville and Isaac Brown situation. There's been some paperwork issues that have kept Isaac "officially" out of the portal (he's "unofficially" in). All these RBs that are being brought in for a visit or looked at seem to me more so "just in case" Brown ultimately opts to go portal and end up at Texas. At this point, it just seems to be Isaac's decision."
