I haven't heard Akana's name in awhile. Have you been hearing good things?

Yes, I have. He's had the motor and smarts to play. He just needed to add some bulk to his body and he's done that. I've heard Akana's name thrown out there in about half the updates I've read over the spring and summer.

Kid has got some motor to him.

What do the senior transfers have to do with Wingo, Moore or Cook? None of those WRs transferred out and the seniors will be gone next year so why would they transfer then?
Senior transfers have something to do with every position. It hinders the development of younger players. Less practice time and less playing time.
I think Bond, Wingo, Cook and Moore would have presented headaches for any secondary.

Sure, it could slow their development some. But I'd really be surprised for any of those to transfer after this season. They will be the clear front runners for starter snaps.

The Horns have hosted two DT recruits today. One being Antonio Coleman who plays for KJ Lacy's HS team. He is 6'2, 275 lbs and is rated as a 4-star. He is currently committed to Bama, though he flipped to Auburn once and then back to Bama.

Josiah Sharma also arrived this morning for a visit. Texas has continued contact with Sharma despite his decision to Oregon recently. Big news that he wanted to come take another look. Sharma had already told Texas and the other schools after him, on the eve of his commitment, that he was heading to Texas. Then Oregon called with handfuls of cash. We will see if Texas ups the ante

Also interesting that Gerry Hamilton has reported Myron Charles was scheduled to be there as well. Had to reschedule but positive enough to know that Texas and Myron are still having serious talks.

WIth Sharma, we can stop the panic over our DT class. Sharma is big time.

Our class is now ranked #13

When Sharma commented to Oregon ,it was all I heard was money of Nike. Well fair ? now is how much he cost us?More importantly how does affect culture?

Not that it matters one iota,
But I want to go on record as saying I hate all of this NIL crap. Just feels “dirty” to me.

Should not be whoever has the money money wins.

Sharma had committed to Texas up to the night before his commitment. Seems like he made a money decision when committing to Oregon and it seems that he pretty instantly regretted it.

I don't think his flip back to Texas is primarily related to money, perhaps just a return to the more sound football/life decision.
