2 errors in the 8th that lead to the tying run. And error in the 11th with two outs that allows them to score 2. Brutal.

We are cooked with pitching (Andre and Boehm unlikely available today). I see little way we could win 3 games in the next two days.
Agree about our pitching. We win last night and we had a really good chance but now, we just don't have the arms.

I hate that we did so many good things but found a way to lose. Flores has been great all year , as tejas mentioned, those 2 errors were out of character for him. Hate that we wasted a good pitching game from the staff. Kinda sums up this frustrating season.
Got a long road to get out of the regional now.

We needed to sweep in 3 games to have a chance from a pitching perspective. Had a chance to do it as well. Brutal

9-1 now, season fast coming to a close. I will say I can see CDC making that change, and he has done good job with hires. I will support Texas Baseball no matter who the coach is.

Disappointing end to a disappointing season. It will be interesting to see what next year brings in the SEC. Pitching staff has very little coming back that was dependable. Many of our position players may be gone. I felt only Thomas and Flores were studs. Looks like a total retool with Pierce’s job on the line of CDC doesn’t make a move now.
I’m curious, who would you Hornssports crew realistically bring in if Pierce is gone?

So do we fire a coach who got us to the playoffs?
Is the expectation just making the playoffs? We couldn’t win a weak Big 12 this year.
I’m not sure what the answer is, just throwing it out there.
My feeling is Pierce is a good coach but not elite. I bet he gets one more year.

I've said on here mid-season that Pierce's post-season results could be the thing that saved him. He had another chance to put up another good result this year but 1-2 at a regional isn't going to cut it. Irony is, without the errors yesterday, I think we could have won this regional and then matched up with another 3 seed Oregon in the supers, I think as the host.

The team building process hasn't been effective and coaching staff turmoil seems a common theme. I think the writing is on the wall for Pierce. He did not sound confident in his return in his post-game press conference.
