Despite whether you're a fan of Herman or not, it's embarrassing to have top level kids from our home state go OOS.  Herman was suppose to lock down the border and keep this talent at home.  After 4 years, this program may be better off than it was during Charlie overall, but it is way off from a championship level.  Urban Meyer is right, look at the pro draft and it shows true development of a program.  Texas should have at least 1 1st rd pock this year (maybe 2), but still not enough to keep these kids home.  Imo, this alone is enough to warrant a change at the top, despite what happens on the field this year.  Texas absolutely needs Meyer to turn this around now.  I think CDC knows this, at least I hope he knows this.

Let me add one more thing, there is still time for these 2022 kids, but it can only turn around with Meyer.  If it doesn't happen, then it's only going to get worse.  CDC has to know that hiring Meyer would have the rest of CFB shaking in their boots and Ohio State would not be able to recruit in Texas. SEC would still be here, but OSU would be shut out.

Kids see what Texas has been producing. The development at Texas has been a disgrace thats on Herman and his staff. The speed of the coach is the speed of the team. It definitely shows on saturdays.

247 reporting Texas has started speaking to QB Maalik Murphy of Gardena, CA again.

He was actually the first QB offer of the class.

This would be a good pickup if it happens.  I guess you can take OSU off that list since Ewers is going there, at least that is the mentality of the some players these days, i.e. playing time over college choice.  Can't blame them though.

Instant gratification rules the day. Really curious how an Urban hire roils the 22'  recruiting season.

I wonder how the Sark hire will play with Quinn Ewers.
