For sure there is 25+7 for 32. Any more would have to be from last year's class. Belive these were used for portal transfers. Who would know for sure.
I think it also has something to do with being able to count one of the early enrollees as a 2021 commit. So that's 32 + 1 for the 33 number that's being thrown around.

I had 33 in my head as well, but then Sark said something about 36 as the target or something like that.  So, I have 36 in my head as the target if the right players are there.
Yea, the 36 number is being talked about as well on other sites for exactly what you say about Sark's comment. You got to figure that if anyone's knows that Sark is going know.

Sark said the 33 number in one of his talks.Do not belive the 36 number has been verfied. You need a CPA to keep up with numbers.

Any way a number over 32 has to come from 2021 class.

You got the CPA thing right. This is as bad as taxes. ?

There's also the possibility of gray-shirts, etc., that don't add to the current quotas.

Yeah, he said 33 early on, but then said 36 at the early signing day.  You know what, Im just going to let Sark and company figure it out.  If Sark can get to 36, then like NTG said, he would know better than anyone.

So, Sark talked about getting upto 36 during his talk with Alex Loeb and I  believe Fozzy during the 6PM night of the early signing period stating and so did both of these guys about possibly getting upto 36. It had nothing to do with previous years, but if a number of players like upto 5 DL and 3 or 4  LBs currrently on the roster moved on and filling those spaces with new players.

There is nothing in the state's  NIL rules stating that we can't pay walk-ons or certain shirt players. The NCAA has nothing to do with the NIL rules it's  upto each state.  If need be I'll  put it up later.

rAs I understand the NCAA rules the only way one can go over the normal 25 signees, is to count some of early commits to previous year.

Then there is only 7 extra ships svailable and one has to have players leaving by portal to ger these.

Also asI understand it does not matter how many exit by portal only can take 7 players.from portal orhigh schoolers etc.plus 25 normal ships

Then it takes a Philadelphia lawyer to understand therules. Anyones guess isproably better than mine.

Time will tell how many id signed. Trouble is we are all impairnt.

My understanding is they have the normal 25, plus 1 extra carry over from last year plus the 7, so 33.

The only way to get past that to 36 are grey shirts( promise of scholarship next year) or preferred walk ons.

I think the current NIL arrangements they have are only for scholarship players, so any payments to anyone beyond the 33 would need to be individual or new NIL arrangements.

It's likely only a matter of time before the big money programs figure out how to pay top players to be preferred walk ons.

And when that happens, college football for all practical purposes is gone.  It will be replaced with NFL- lite.  Soon, players won’t even need to pretend to be students; let alone actually darken a classroom.

I think most football and basketball players have already stopped pretending.
