After his official visit to Alabama over the weekend, IT saying that it will ultimately come down to A&M and Texas for S Bryce Anderson of Beaumont West Brook.

My buddy said he heard, through some back channels, that Saban and Co. we're really pushing Bryce to commit this weekend and he said no he has to visit Texas before he chooses.  Also stated this rubbed the family the wrong way.

Someone on the Spurstalk board posted something similar from IT, however it mentioned nothing about rubbing the family the wrong way.  Tfloss have you heard or read anything regarding this?  Or anyone else want to chime in.

Yeah, I heard the same thing. Saban said he had a spot for him in the class IF he committed to him right then.

It was a turn off, but not something that stopped the meeting short or anything. Kid handled himself well.

This is thought to be an aggy vs Texas battle.

Talk to me goose.  I'm guessing this for Gaston.  Don't know much about him.  What is there to like/dislike about him?  Is he a change of pace back?  3rd down/pass catching back or a between the tackles type of guy?  Asking for a friend.

Maverick, you must engage! lol

Yes, Gatson. Pros – good vision, decent speed, great athlete. Runs well between the tackles. Has pretty good hands. Cons – already has a lot of miles on him, which probably makes UT a good fit for him. Is not a long distance threat. But isn't necessarily slow, either.

I like that he comes from a program where winning was a big deal. I think some of that carries over in kids at college. They expect to win.

My buddy just texted me saying there is a high-level west coast recruit on UTs campus right now.  Could it be the other WR from out of Cali,  last name of T something....Maalick (ha, I mean Maalik) calls him TMAC.  or maybe Ernest Greene...that would be huge (pun intended)

Tetairoa McMillan?

Thats the only other offer we have to a Cali WR.

That's the one im thinking of.  TMAC makes sense.  Don't know if it is a WR, but other than him or Greene, what other high-level west coast kid could it be.

Wait, what about the one that committed to ASU?  Golden.  Wasn't he coming in after the ASU story broke.

Are you talking about Larry Turner-Gooden? He's got an offer but is listed as an athlete.

Yeah, Gooden (my phone keeps trying to correct it to Golden).  He just said it was a high-level recruit from the west coast.  I was speculating on the other WR.  Could be Gooden.

We've generally done well with recruits in the Golden triangle area.  Let's hope it continues.

Could be on commit watch. I've heard he's already wanting to plan his OV to Austin in the fall.
