High school football: Arch Manning, Quinn Ewers among Top 5 players to watch in 2021

2. QB — Quinn EwersSouthlake Carroll (Southlake, Texas)
Height: 6-3 | Weight: 205
Status: Committed to Ohio State | Class: Senior (2022)
The top-rated player in the country became the sixth player in 247Sports composite history to receive a perfect 1.0000 rating last December — joining Rashan Gary (2016), Robert Nkemdiche (2013), Jadeveon Clowney (2011), Ernie Sims (2003) and Vince Young (2002). The five-star quarterback helped lead the Dragons to a runner-up finish in Texas' largest classification last season and was named the MaxPreps Sophomore Player of the Year in 2019.
4. QB — Arch ManningNewman (New Orleans)
Height: 6-3 | Weight: 200
Status: Uncommitted | Class: Junior (2023)
There might not be a bigger name in high school sports and Manning has exceeded expectations through his first two seasons. He was named the MaxPreps Freshman Player of the Year in 2019 and followed that up with a selection on the Sophomore MaxPreps All-America team in 2020. Manning is the top-rated quarterback on 247Sports for the Class of 2023 and fourth-rated prospect overall.

And 2nd Texan. What other state can say that.

Good find, PD. Watching this gets you very excited. You can see as he passes the LOS his little burst, like another gear most don't have.

Now we have a backfield of this guy, Bijan, and RoJo rotating and no longer must consider Young or someone else to get those snaps.

Sark is setting this offense up very well. Speed, speed, speed. I love it.

The boatload of catfish plate was one of the big draws here. Six corn cob sized catfish perfectly fried was Mr. Bryce's specialty. The pistolette rolls with honey were awesome, too.  Yeah, we all miss Bryce's Landing.

I had not heard anything about it burning. I heard it closed because Mr. Bryce had a heart attack and retired a few years back. Last I heard was that someone has recently bought it and is in the process of reopening it.
It caught fire several years back is what I was told.  I think the kitchen burnt up.  It never opened back up.  It was awesome food

I'm going to pass on B.A. Kid's been to four schools in four years. Now decommits to GA.

Red flags everywhere.

The Texas 2005 team was loaded with kids like this. You need crazy mother f##kers aka mercenaries to win at the elite level.

I'll share a little secret with you guys. There is a small cafe in Naples called Nett's Restaurant. If you show up on Friday at lunch time, they serve among the best catfish I've tasted. But they only do it on Friday's at lunch.

Damn near the whole team were mercenaries and crazy ass dudes....
I will agree that they were good and played nasty, but that hardly compares to people who change school four times in four years. Thats not being a mercenary. Thats being not content and illustrates a lack of the will to lead.

Once knew some crazy ass dudes who were to play for a team ranked next to last in their district their senior year. Those crazy ass dudes improved themselves over the summer and led that team to a district title.

CTJ's comments on Bear Alexander:

Bear Alexander and his handler are overtly running an auction for visits, commits, and ink. It will finish in the 6 figures for a player that already shows flakiness with transfers and character issues inherent with the behavior I just described. There's a reason Bama isn't pushing for a guy like this. He's a mercenary with risk all over him. Texas will be foolish to even host him on campus at all from here forward.

Excuse my ignorance. Who is CTJ?
