2019 Recruiting Board/Thread

When and who of our targets are committing next that we should pay attention to?
I would keep an eye peeled for our July 27th Under The Lights event. It has been very successful for us in the past and should kick start this recruiting momentum back up again.

The UTL thing could see us getting some commits from 2020 recruits.

Shepard, the OL, says he plans on taking his time (officially) but those behind the scenes with him say it could go down at any time.

Lewis Cine is someone I'm feeling good about, but I do believe him when he says he wants to take his time.

There will be some new names to emerge for the 2019 OL target list. Hand is doing his diligence there.

I'd like to see UT make another hard push for Leal once the dead period is over.

Brainiacs are saying Rian Davis has pushed back his decision date to later in the season.
I've heard that he's coming to Texas. This came from someone who follows his uncle on twitter. But the pay sites have been saying Georgia, I believe.

So I'll assume, for now, this is a good thing for Texas.

Can we please get just one 4* DL??
I hear you and agree we need more OL and DL, but lets not forget we've got Coburn, Moro, Williams, Carson, Ossai and I think one more I'm leaving out that are true freshmen on campus now.  We'll get more in the 19 class as well with a nice start from Sweat and Mgapi(sp?)

Can you imagine a DL with Coburn, Ojomo, Leal and Rian Davis?

Holy mother of God

Starting to think Leal is bought in to the whole "SEC" narrative.
Could be.  I just think it's comical that the Ags are selling the SEC, because they know they can't sell their own program.  They were a .500 program in the "inferior Big 12" and are well below .500 in the SEC West after 6 years and have lost 7 straight at home to SEC west teams.  They could have Rockne and Lombardi on their staff and recruit lights out, but they're never going to finish better than 3rd in the West.

Agree. Imagine the pressure-cooker that will be dead dog town when, in Year 2, Jumbo loses his 4th home game.

I'm going to be straight with you. The real reason aggy can never win . . . is that putrid maroon color that goes well with NOTHING. No matter how you try to dress it up, its ugly. My son forgive me, but his HS team was maroon and white. Not once did I think their unis were nice. You simply cannot make maroon look good. It looks depressing. Especially when you pair it with black or gray.

Take LSU. Even when they're bad, they recruit lights out. That purple and gold sells itself. Kids want to wear that uniform.

Meanwhile, we have the best uniform in all of college football (tighty whities) and even when we're bad, we can recruit well. Kids want to wear this uniform.

Meanwhile, the aggy displays at Academy remain totally stocked . . . for months at a time. lol

If you talking about the Lewisville Farmers, you ain't lyin'. We considered them wannabe aggys back in the dark ages.

Aggyism is. entrenched here. I was always the only one in the stands with a Bevo on my hat. I even remember one older local guy saying that Lewisville modeled its colors and mascot after aggy.

Thankfully, I didn't have to endure their sad ass fight song. lol Lewisville did their own thing there.
