Brown won some big games and lost a lot more.Just hung around too long.IMO he did less with more than most coaches.

As to recruiting with more commitments could reach 32 total if 85 limit is not reached. IMO best class since Woster group. May they reach the same heights.

Good points but I gotta say the criticism of Brown is starting to get old and petty. The man brought us a national championship and to new heights of wealth and class. In short, he made us a great program again. No he wasn't Saban, or even Meyer, but he was a badass nonetheless.

I agree, he might've gotten complacent towards the end of his tenure, but he was the head honcho when the 05 natty was won!  Hook 'em!

Funny how that works.  The last bowl game win before this year was with all those soft and cuddly MB guys.

2012 - Defeated #13 Oregon State 31-27 in the Alamo Bowl.  Not too mention 2 NC appearances and the greatest NC game ever.

Maybe they all went soft after 2012 in his final year, shrugs  .  I am sure Hicks and Big Malcolm Brown would disagree though

The CRITICISM of Texas coaching for some time has been that the players are soft, cottled, unmotivated... due to the culture; sound familiar?  

Now, the coaches are too hard, not sensitive, running off good players.... I’m just observing a change in how the coaches are criticized; not saying I agree on either front.

Yes I know.  Its been around for some time.   Even other coaches apparently said this about Macks teams.  Some of it might be legit but I just have an issue with some criticizing a coach who won a NC vs a very good USC team.   Mack had his faults but he was a good coach.  I am venturing to guess the people saying Mack's team were soft and entitled etc were very quiet after the NC game.

But its what have you done for us lately that prevails in football.

Isn't there a limit on how many you can sign in consecutive years?

Saw you guys were talking about this before, but didn’t Junior sign his LOI? Wouldn’t that make him bound to UT unless the school released him? I’m confused as well as why we would have to recruit him for 2020 if he already signed.
