What your friend just told you is exactly what I was thinking. To be honest I felt Texas couldve made a hard crootin run with Ford instead of MM. MM was a long shot IMHO. If they wanna play the TE wildcard next to Epps. Hell go after McTear

It has been my thought that we'd take 5. We have two. This is who I thought we'd end with last night.

1. Grandy, 2. Angilau, and 3. Leveston.

However, another offer went out this morning which caused me to initially think something went wrong with Leveston. I was told that is not the case.

So perhaps we're going to take six?

If he’s available I imagine they kick tires, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up.

Daniel, with Jimbo possibly heading to A&M what’s your take on it?

Good hire, but if the numbers on the deal are accurate then I think they overpaid for him. Jimbo is a good coach and he will certainly put a staff together that will make things more difficult in recruiting, but if you are going to pay a guy 7.5 million per year out the gate you can’t tell me expectations won’t be extremely high from the start.

A&M gets Clemson and Alabama early on next year by the way. It’s going to be sailing year in and out on that schedule.

Could be a contingency plan, but they need to cast as wide of a net as possible for bodies.

Has nothing to do with Leveston. Just evaluating all options. I think Leveston ends up on the interior long term.

2 JUCOs, 3 freshman, and 1 grad transfer would give lots of options and immediate depth.

Just watched Johnson’s tape. Texas needs to be all over him like white on rice. He’s a starter the moment he enrolls at Texas if they can land him.

Just curious your thoughts now from a topic we had a month ago.  I was all for getting more bodies on the OL but you convinced me we shouldnt settle for bodies because they just eat up space for years

Are we doing this now with the recent targets on OL?  Or has it simply Conner, McMillon and Cuney are leaving and we need bodies now?  Are these guys legit?

I think he’s athletic enough to play either one. A bit raw, but he can play.

I don’t think they are resorting to that method just yet. I think Grandy and Johnson are guys they feel can help them from day one and not simply be depth.
