I have to admit that I haven't followed recruiting in 2017 nearly as close as I have in most other years going back to the 80's! I don't even recognize the names mentioned on this thread. I have three questions for you zealots.... from a former zealot who may get back in the fray.... If this request bores you; I understand, move on. See Below:
- What would you say are the positions of need in this recruiting class; and why (numbers, quality)?
- Based on answer above, who would you say are the key targets?
- Finally, I see a JUCO name pop up here and there.... does Herman's history suggest he may consider this route more than his predecessors?

That's gotta be an odd feeling for Orlando to named interim HC for the bowl game over Applegate now Major is named HC.

There's another thread here, Current Roster - Texas Football, that is pretty revealing.
It shows a serious lack of depth at 2 positions, QB and RB. At QB we have just 2 players (Buechele and Merrick) and 1 incoming freshman (Ehlinger). At RB we have just 3 players listed, 2 of whom were injured this year.

1. Running back (Foreman leaving, lack of depth), Tight end (lack of depth and fit for the new offense), Edge Rushers (Lack of depth), Linebacker (depth).
2. RB- JK Dobbins and Eno Benjamin
TE- Cade Brewer, Reese Leitao
Edge- K'Lavon Chaisson
LB- Unfortunately this spot is cloudy with guys like Baron Browning and Anthony Hines off the board.
3. Herman will absolutely go the JUCO route and already has offers out to multiple JUCO prospects.

I dont see 2017 RB depth as a big a worry as you guys do

Agree. Depends on Lil Jordan too. Will they keep him at RB as was said earlier this year
Yeah, I say the Dad still looks like he could play . Any chance we could sign his Dad wish I looked that in shape !
