2017 Recruiting Thread Part 1

– Toneil Carter: Per multiple reports, Georgia RB commit Toneil Carter will no longer officially visit Texas this weekend. I have not been able to confirm through Carter. I was told by a source that UGA HC Kirby Smart is heading to Houston today for his in-home visit with Carter and the plan was to convince him not to visit Texas this weekend.

247 is reporting that Texas actually cancelled the visit. We can confirm this via sources on the Texas side of things. – (Andrew)

– More on the RB Situation: Related to the note above, can’t say much but Texas is working hard on a particular in-state RB. Said back would prefer to be the lone RB in the class wherever he ends up. Keep your eyes and ears open. Things could happen fast. – (Super K)

Looks like Houston is going with Lane Kiffin, should get some clarity on OC/DC hire soon. Also, does this mean we may get Kyle Allen?

“I’m waiting to see how it plays out. I’m waiting to see how that recruitment goes. I’m going to chop it up with the players like Charles (Omenihu) and Jeff (McCulloch) after I get back from the UA game to see how they’re liking Texas.â€

Wilson said he would ‘most likely’ host Texas for an in-home visit in January. For now, he wants to continue to build a relationship with Tom Herman and the new coaching staff.

Well it is December so he's making a push as hard as he can for these prospects. And um now Benjamin finally has his offer how much does Calloway come into effect since he's close with Calloway
