I agree, but doubt CDC will do anything about it this year, I'm afraid.

Texas knew what they were getting when they hired him. In today's world can you imagine the flack Texas would have received if they didn't hire him after what he did last year? Be that said, this team just isn't as good as last year's team was.

He wouldn't have been hired based on his HC experience. I'm not arguing your point, but I understand why he was hired. It would have been really difficult for CDC to not hire him after last year's run.

Am I nuts for holding out hope that next year will be a good year - with taller, uber-talented guards coming in?

I heard CDC say, he gives every coach one "reset." On chance to evaluate and make changes if necessary. If the reset doesn't work, then the coach is replaced. I think we will be able to tell in the offseason whether or not this is Terry's "reset."

And the players would have had a mass exodus. You can't make decisions based solely on this, but it is a small factor as well.

There were people like Dick Vitell acting like it was a crime that CDC didn't negotiate a deal and hire Terry in the middle of the NCAA tournament last year.

This team is so unpredictable. Boat racing Tech at half, 47-23. Would be a big win to ensure a tournament birth.

I'm glad I was wrong. Like @BWilk55 said, this team is unpredictable.
